Pain, unless a trauma, is usually caused by lifestyle factors. If you sit at your job, you will probably have back pain. Do you get acupressure or bodywork? Do you stretch and exercise the muscles which become commonly tight when you sit? If no, then you will get pain. It’s not an if. It is a when.
Pain prevention is a simple process. Do the opposite. Seriously. If you sit, and your legs are bent at a 90 degree angle for 8 hours a day, then stretch the leg back at the hip at 90 degrees. Essentially, do the opposite of the lifestyle which is causing the pain. Pain prevention takes an investment of time and energy. You can pay now or pay later. But in the end, if you are a member of the free world, your body will eventually demand payment.
